Isaac's story

My name is Isaac Johnson. I've spent most of my working life in landscaping, and over the last several years I slowly narrowed the work I accept down to the most niche projects I could find.

Since I turned 16, I've spent as many hours as there was daylight outside — trimming hedges, cutting grass, laying down mulch. It never felt like work to me. I knew that instead of settling for a predictable, safe career, I needed an adventure that would keep me on my toes: innovating, learning, getting knocked down, and getting back up every time I fell.

So I packed the few belongings I had into my old pickup truck and drove nearly a thousand miles south from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Marietta, Georgia. I instantly loved the warmer weather, the hospitable culture, and the friendly people. As I spoke to more experienced businesspeople and worked through each constraint I faced, I decided to open a company that fills a need every dog owner has but few are willing to help with: pet waste removal. That idea, in February of 2026, was what became Horizon Pet Waste Solutions.

It started with two clients who paid just enough to cover the gas to get there and back. As word spread, the company grew and slowly became a favorite of the clients it serves.

Horizon Pet Waste Solutions has been a tremendous blessing. It has taught me to solve problems quickly and build a network of trustworthy people I can rely on for advice and ideas. Growing a business that every client loves is one of the most unpredictable, challenging — and fun — adventures I know.

Thank you for joining me on this business journey. I'm thankful for the past, and excited for what the future holds, one day at a time.
